Olivia Sprosty, AIA
Architect, Founder
Olivia received her Master of Architecture degree from the University of Minnesota and is a licensed architect in the state of Minnesota. While in grad school, Olivia was privileged to have studied abroad in architecturally rich cities such as Athens, Paris and London. These travels shed a light on the greater meaning of resilience and how design and society can better embrace lasting materials and timeless design.
Today, with her experience in real estate and architecture, Olivia finds happiness in collaborating with clients and helping them discover the added value potential of their space. She holds a special devotion to the ‘old’ homes of Minneapolis and St. Paul and appreciates the character and resiliency that has allowed each home’s history to stay standing with us today.
When not designing, Olivia serves as a co-chair on the AIA-MN Licensing Advisory Committee, advocating for young architectural professionals in their journey to becoming licensed architects. Gardening, reading, running, learning new things and spending time with friends, family and pets are activities you can expect to see her doing in her free time.
Alissa Barthel
Executive Assistant, Director of Marketing
Alissa is thrilled to be a part of the Resilience Architecture team! Alissa and Olivia first met when they were both on the Event Services team at the Student Union on the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus. The two of them are so excited to work together again to bring your design dreams to life. Her travels have brought her to Hungary and Italy, giving her a deep appreciation for historic architecture and breathtaking designs that can stand the test of time.
Since moving to the Twin Cities back in 2015, Alissa has fallen in love with its many natural and built environments, including a diverse portfolio of residential and retail styles. She carries a great appreciation for how local designers have celebrated the natural landscape within the integration of the local architecture.
Outside of the office, you can find Alissa spending time outdoors with her favorite people, playing bass in a bluegrass band, running by the lakes, and reading the latest fantasy novel.

Rumble serves as a devoted companion to the Resilience team, overseeing daily work duties, providing emotional support and protecting the work space from any potential rumblings (pun intended). Rumble is always excited to greet our visitors and be a loving member of the team .
Ila
Human and Pet Resources
Ila is the go-to cat for all team related needs, including boosting team morale, offering encouraging meows, and curling up on your lap during meetings. She is always happy to assist with any concerns relating to birds, bunnies, and squirrels. You can often find her napping in the sun, lounging in an office chair, or bird watching from her favorite window.
